Well-designed and engaging website set the tone for our interaction with the customer. The platform has to be translated due to the project's expansion into non-English-speaking countries. It should work quickly, and adding a new language should be easy.

The organization of content and tools in one place facilitates and streamlines the translation. It was a time-consuming process that took more than a month to complete. It was accomplished by our junior devs who used react-i18 in their work.

Our users provided us with frequent feedback allowing us to discover flaws in our startup incubator program and to answer their concerns. One of our disadvantages in UX was that our users could not easily find their entities like events/opportunities/groups, etc. The application procedure was too complicated for new users.

Our team enhanced the entity creation process, reduced the number of required fields, improved the application process, added a new navigation bar, etc. We completely changed the application procedure in a challenge for an unregistered user. We simplified the process by creating a one-step flow in which they can register and submit an application right away. Additionally, thanks to developing a Navigation bar, users can see all their entities and move from one entity to another.

To train judges on a regular basis, our clients were required to send PDF-files with instructions, which was inconvenient. They also wanted to monitor the process. Therefore, we saw a need to develop a feature to create training materials within the platform.

In barely two weeks, we built an entirely new online learning institution. Users can now create structured themes with assignments and check them off as they are finished. Students can read the topic (view images or videos), mark it as done, and track progress.

The number of users increases every year, and we continue to encounter optimization issues. One of the biggest problems after increasing users at the platform was the platform's speed and the rendering of the first page.

Last year, we completed a great deal of engineering work, including optimization of methods, bundle size reduction, and front-page rendering. We communicated with the Meteor team to increase our platform speed and refactor our old code with new technologies.

At the time of release, the rapid establishment of search using publications was straightforward. However, with time, it began to load the database heavily. As a result, it was almost impossible for our users to find other profiles, communities, opportunities, events.

We completely rewrote the search section using React-Search-UI. This solution reduced the load on the server and database, and in addition, it accelerated the search rate enormously. Furthermore, we successfully added filters and sortings for search in a short time, thanks to react-search-UI. Finally, our team significantly changed the design.
